This is an enthusiasts receiver and has many features that other receivers do not offer including the 422 television system. It is, however, more complicated to set up than standard receivers and good IT skills are recommended. The AZ boxes are the ONLY Linux, 422 receivers with blind search and are excellent for finding 422 feeds.

This is an enthusiasts receiver and has many features that other receivers do not offer including the 422 television system. It is, however, more complicated to set up than standard receivers and good IT skills are recommended. To assist customers we are loading this receiver with more advanced software. Straight out of the box it would have the manufacturers software installed but there are also a number of groups writing better software (This is an open platform receiver). At the time of writting, the best software (Written by a Canadian group) is the AZTrino 1.82. It is stable and has an excellent blind search. This software contains US satellites so after loading it we add a European satellite dataset. (When new improved software comes out, it will be installed). In addition Astra 2 is scanned in to help get customers started. This should make this excellent receiver easier to set up and use straight out of the box. The AZ boxes are the ONLY Linux, 422 receivers with blind search and are excellent for finding 422 feeds.
